My Breadbox Story - the Commodore 64

And now for something completely different :-)
The best games ever made for the breadbox. Well,
to be honest I don't have a top 100 list but here's the ad
of the game I played for years on my trusty old C64: Revs. It's
by Geoff "Formula One Grand Prix" Crammond - one of his first
masterpieces. BTW: Have a close look at the ad again- why is
a Formula One Renault-Turbo chasing a F3 car. Isn't that
sort of - unfair? I never get that one :-) Who did the
layout of the Revs ad? (I guess it was the same in
the UK.) If you got the answer please contact
me

Yeah, not only "Revs" was great. Remember
Summer Games or Beach Head just to name a few.
But did you know that you could make lots of money
playing your favourite game back in the 80's? A guy from
England won 25000 Pounds. He was the first who solved the
Adventure Game "Eureka!". You had to call a telephone
number which was displayed on the end screen of the
game. Hacker tried for month to hack the code for
that encrypted number. But nobody made it.
Talking about Hackers: Do you remember
this game? Wasn't a winner but the ad
looks kind of cool, eh?

Or Do you remember "Commando", a great
action game with superb music by Rob Hubbard?
It was banned in Germany for extreme violence. The
special german version features robots as enemies.
No I'm not talking about "Half Life" - we're still in
the 80's. It was released as "Space Invasion"
So banning games has a long tradition. But
I don't think they sold many copies of
this crappy version.
